Communities of Joy is a set of stake announcements and fliers distributed monthly as bulletin inserts to all congregations and groups in the Greater Los Angeles Stake of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

AN OPEN DOOR COMMUNITY OF CHRIST

Basileia - An Open Door Community of Christ has been established as a new church plant, located in Orange County. Basileia is the Greek word which is most often translated as "kingdom" or "realm of God" in the Bible. The Basileia community is a place where freedom, communion, and truth prevail as the defining relationship among human beings. As the vision and mission statements are developed, they will include a strong emphasis on diversity, spirituality, service, and flexibility.

For the present, services will be held Sundays at 9:30 a.m. in the Kostura's home. For further information on future meetings and activities, please contact Glenn Johnson, Gail Biller, or Carol Kostura or visit the new Basileia web site at http://basileia.net. ALL ARE WELCOME.
